Sometime later, he went Tudong to many forested places in Northern Thailand, spending many rain retreats there. Luang Poo Toh returned to Bangkok and became the abbot of Wat PraDooChimPlee. He got to know Luang Por Sod, Wat PakNam and they became close friends. LP Tae, Wat Sang Nahm

Luang Por Tae's hometown was in Moo (village) 4, Bahn (House) Sahm Ngahm Noi, Ampher (District) Don Thom, Jangwat (Province) Nakon Pahtom. He was borned on 15th September BE2434. There were many famous monks who was born in that year BE2434. During that time, if monks were being addressed as Luang Phor or Luang Poo, they were really very good monks because the villagers paid high respects to them, thus addressed them as Luang Phor and Luang Poo which means Grand Monks and Great Grand Monks. Unlike now, the address as Luang Phor and Luang Poo, do not have much significant, because these titles are usually given by the Government Officials.

When Luang Por Tae was still a baby, his uncle Daeng, who was a monk brought and raised Luang Por Tae in the temple. Therefore, Luang Por Tae spent his whole life in the temple; since he was a baby until the time he passed away. In fact, Luang Por Tae seldom lived in the temple, he spent most of his time in the forest as a Tudong. He was sincere in practising the Dhamma, thus Luang Por Tae was able to learn the Dhamma very well. The villagers had accidentally seen Luang Por Te produced some miracle (power), and firmly believed that Luang Phor Tae had attained Arahang level.

His uncle Daeng, brought him to Wat Gahlong, Jangwat Samutsahkon until he was 7 years old. Luang Por Tae returned and lived with his parents for 3 years. After that, his uncle Daeng brought him back to the temple again until the age 15 years old. Luang Por Tae was ordained a Naen (novice monk) under his uncle Daeng in BE2449. He lived in the forest temple where his uncle was the abbot. Luang PorTae ordained as a monk at the age of 20 years old. Luang Por Tah Wat Panaengtak was the preceptor and became Luang Phor Tae's teacher, after which Luang Por Tae followed Luang Por Tah to Wat Panaengtak. Luang Tae became the close disciple of Luang Por Tah. Luang Por Tah taught Luang Por Tae everything he knew about Dhamma and Sammahdti. Luang Por Tah would bring Luang Por Tae with him whenever he went Tudung, until such time at Luang Por Tae had gained enough experience to go Tudung alone.

After Luang Por Tah has passed away, Luang Por Tae went to learn from Luang Por Chiam, Wat TaGong. Same as Luang Por Tah, Luang Por Chiam unselfishly taught Luang Por Tae everything he knew about Dhamma, Sammahdti, Tudung and Wichah. Once, Luang Por Chiam told Luang Por Tae that: "If you want to become Jow Koon (monk with a high title), take a train to Grungtep (Bangkok). If you want to become a real monk, you must enter the forest." Luang Por Tae chooses the latter, and went into the forest and became a Tudung monk. It is said that Luang Por Tae was a monk who possessed alot of metta(loving-kindness) and bahramee(power). Whenever Luang Por Tae went for Tudung, many villagers would give money and things to him, but Luang Por Tae never accepted them, except the morning alms only. The villagers were not happy because they wanted Luang Por Tae to accept the money so that he could use the money to make merits for them. Luang Por Tae accepted some of the money and carried with him because he did not know where to keep them.

One day, a robber wanted to rob Luang Por Tae of the money, but Luang Por Tae did not stop him, however Luang Por Tae told the robber that the money was not his, but belonged to the villagers who wished to make merits. If he took the money, the villagers would be disappointed because the money was meant for merit making. After the robber has listened to Luang Por Tae's, the robber felt very ashamed and ran off. Besides being a disciple of Luang Por Tah and Luang Por Chiam, Luang Por Tae had ever learnt Wichah from an Ah Jahn from Cambodia. The Wichah that Luang Por Tae used for making the famous Gumahn Torng was learnt from the Cambodia Ah Jahn.

Luang Por Tae passed away in BE2524 (1981) at age of 90 years old.

LP Doem, Wat Nong Pho

Luang Phor Doem (B.E.2403-2494),Wat Nong Pho temple, Nakon Sawan province, is one of the greatest guru monk of Thailand. His very well-known amulets are various kinds of ivory-tusk carved pieces including Singharajs, a few batches of statuettes of his own, and many sizes of magic knives. Because of his amulets carrying great properties on impenetrability, so they are best for "real men" who want to fight the bad. His magic knives are so terrible that magic-tattooed hooligans are scared of. Even the small-type knife is only 2-3 inches long but it could destroy enemies' invulnerability. The knife will easily penetrate into any magically invulnerable guy, and the wound is terribly incurable.

His foot-prints are also popular amulets, its properties are comprehensively for self protection as same as his magic knives. As elephant being a carrier in the old times, Luang Phor Doem kept many elephants. He cast a spell on every elephant's legs and sometimes fed them with blessed grass. As a preceptor, Luang Phor Doem was often invited to many temples to preside over the ordain ceremony. When he was getting old, he reached the destination temples by elephant. All his elephants were very tamed. After reaching the temple, Luang Phor Doem just let the elephant go freely to feed itself by eating grass in the nearby area. Amazingly, when the ceremony going to end with some chanting chapter, the elephant would go back by itself and kneeled down in front of the Bosth(main chanting hall for all Buddhistic rituals) to pick him up and bring him back to Wat NongPho. Luang Phor Doem loved all of his elephants, he had special knowledges(Yana) to detect elephants' mind and to communicate them. When Luang Phor Doem passed away, his elephants cried with grief and some of them refused to eat anything.

Luang Phor Doem was a great builder. He helped build more than 30 temples in Nakornsawan and nearby provinces, such as Phichit, Pitsanulok and Chainat. His benevolence was so great, he cared about the water in temple's pond which was the main blood vessel for all monks in the temple. He was very happy if the pond was full of water. When the pond was shallow in the dry season, he was worried and going to the Bosth to meditate and beg for rain. The day he passed away, his monk disciples had told him that the water level was very low, it's nearly run out. If there was no rain in a few days, the pond would dry up. Luang Phor Doem nodded his head while he was lying ill on the floor. " My sons I'm going to leave this world, I wish you all be good monks and be happy forever, so don't worry about the water in the pond", said he. A few minutes later, he passed away. Suddenly, the lightning flashed in the sky and a clap of thunder striked, a very heavy rain poured!! Only one hour later the pond was full of water again. The great monk often miraculously passed away in this manner.

Luang Phor doem's magic knives are often called the " god's knives " or " conquering knives". His knife carries comprehensive properties as an amulet for: - self protection - dispersing and conquering the ghost - destroying all kinds of black magic including invulnerability - detecting the poisonous food - making holy water - healing illnesses by encircling on the body's spot Luang Phor Doem's magic knife need specific Mantra to activate before using. The Mantra requests for 5 unconquerable weapons embedding in the knife: God Indra's Wachiravuth, God Wessuwan's baton, demon Alawaka's apocalyptic red cloth, God of the death Jamaraj's eyes, and Naraiyana's chakra. Apart from the conquering knives, his Singharajs, medals and mini statuettes are so great for self protection as well as the knives. The mini statuettes should be activated with his Mantra for full and complete power. The Mantra is also good for everybody even he has none of Luang Phor Doem's amulets. The Mantra incantation prays for the Triple Gems, Buddhang, Dhammang and Sangkhang to protect the prayer and to conquer all enemies.

Luang Phor Doem's amulets are rather expensive because they are very popular among Thai veteran collectors and users. But for the novices, they may know only his name but know not much about his amulets' great properties. Once his amulets appear on anyone's neck , it's something like a sign to show that you are a real man and tough guy.

LP Sodh, Wat Paknam

The Master of the Vijja Dhammakaya Approach, the late Venerable Phra Mongkol-Thepmuni, is fondly known and revered throughout the land as Luang Phor Wat Paknam, or simply as "Luang Phor".

Luang Phor was born October 10, 1884 to a humble rice-merchant family of Supanburi Province, as Sodh, the second child of Nai Ngern and Nang Sudjai Meekaewnoi. As was typical in those days, young Sodh received his education from the temples. At fourteen, when his father died, he became the chief bread winner for the family. Successful as he was in rice trading, at age nineteen the compassionate young man resolved to become a monk (bhikkhu ) for life. Having made arrangements to ensure his mother's welfare, the young man entered the monkhood three years later in July,1906. At the age of twenty-two, he was ordained as Candasaro Bhikkhu at Wat Songpeenong, near his home. Phra Ajahn Dee of Wat Pratusarn, Supanburi, was his main Preceptor.

The day after his ordination, Candasaro Bhikkhu began meditation practice and study of Pali scriptures. In search of deeper and wider knowledge, he moved from Wat Songpeenong to Wat Bodhi (Wat Phra Chetupon Vimonmangkalaram) in Bangkok. There, he frequented the centers of meditation practice and Pali study. Soon, Luang Phor was recognized by his teachers, Phra Khru Nanavirati (Po) of Wat Bodhi and Phra Ajahn Singha of Wat Lakorn Tham, as an accomplished meditation instructor. During those early dry seasons, Luang Phor adopted thudonga vatra, the custom of wandering in solitude through the forest wilderness, staying in caves and practising the Dhamma with piety.

After ten years, Luang Phor set aside his informal study of Pali Scriptures, having reached sufficiency to read the Maha Satipatthana Sutta. Thereafter he devoted himself totally to meditation practice. Luang Phor spent the next Buddhist Lent at Wat Bang Khoo Vieng, on Bangkok Noi Canal, where his benefactor, Phra Ajahn Choom, was the abbot. There, at nightfall on the full-moon day of September, in his twelfth year as a Bhikkhu, Luang Phor prepared himself for meditation in the uposathaggam.. He invoked illumination and guidance, and made a vow dedicating his life to Buddhism. Luang Phor vowed not to rise from his seat in front of the Buddha statue until he was permitted to attain some understanding of the Dhamma as discerned by the Buddha. With his mind set and its components of vision, memory, thought and cognition all at rest at the center of his body, two finger-breadths above the navel, Luang Phor was able to penetrate the full depth of the Dhamma as it was revealed to and by the Buddha. That revelation of the Dhamma and ever more refined Dhammakayas (Dhamma bodies) was so profound that it was only possible when the mind was at rest at the body's center.

After Lent, Luang Phor went to teach at Wat Bang Pla, where three monks and four laymen who followed his meditation procedure were also able to attain various degrees of insight. Thereafter, Luang Phor gradually became renowned throughout the land. Somdej Phra Vanarat, Head of Bhasicharoen Sangha District, spotted Luang Phor's potential and requested him to assume the Abbotship of Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen. This was a neglected and deteriorating monastery erected five centuries earlier. Luang Phor wanted to decline this request, but he could not. With utmost patience and remarkable leadership, Luang Phor gradually rebuilt the monastery until it is today one of the largest and most important monasteries in the land. In 1949, Luang Phor received the ecclesiastical rank of Phra Bhavan-Kosolthera. This was followed by the title of Phra Mongkol-Rajmuni, and in 1957by the title Phra Mongkol-Thepmuni. Vijja Dhammakaya, the revelation of the Dhamma as attained by Luang Phor, was the heart of his teaching. His service to Buddhism can be seen from his regular routine: Meditating day and night with bhikkhus and upasikas in different sessions Leading bhikkhus and samaneras in the uposathaggam. every morning and evening, paying homage to the Triple Gems and ending with a sermon. Teaching public meditation practice every Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Delivering public sermons on holy days (Uposatha or Wan Phra ) and Sundays Supervising the Pali Institute Thus, Luang Phor devoted his time and effort almost exclusively to teaching meditation. His disciples multiplied into the thousands. It was not uncommon for revered bhikkhus in far corners of the country, who apparently never met Luang Phor, to know him well and to respect him as their mentor.

His decease at the age of seventy-five, on February 3,1959 was just a pause for the immortal master. His life should serve to remind other mortals to pursue their own obligations to the Noble Path carefully. Luang Phor's teachings live on, manifesting the Ultimate Righteous Truth.
